To be honest, I am not entirely certain if this makes a difference in regards to the bandwidth usage, but you can adjust the game quality via ingame setting by clicking on the screwdriver & wrench icon to the right of your avatar. There you can disable particles and lower or disable the 3d quality.
It might also be worth to test around a bit with the settings of the Adobe Flash Player itself: Open the settings of the flash player via rightclick in the loading screen. You will find there an option to allocate an amount of available space locally for data storage. This might allow for some game graphics data to be pulled only once if up-to-date and not on every session and might lower the bandwidth and data usage a bit as well.
