Hello - Introduction - Jiva
Hello All!
Allow me to introduce myself. JIVA Some of you may know and remember me from the early years of playing SH/DC. I have fond memories of those times and I hope to still find some of you around here in the forums and online playing. Have been a consummate lover of sub sims all my life and owned and played most of them. Silent Hunter has been my favorite and I have owned and played most of the versions published. Yet the best action was the SH/DC combo. Playing and chatting at the same time all the while trying to sink each other... nirvana!
I have only been onboard here for three days now and am trying to feel my way through the online malaise. Spending a lot of time upgrading my boat. Gosh the reward to effort ratio is steep and looks like I will not get my dream sub for a while (unless I pay $$/gold right up front.) Well right now I will try and earn it the hard way.
Was wondering. Back in the day there was some ad hoc tracking of kills/sinking - tonnage and captains. Haven't noticed it integrated in some way on this online version.
