Choosing a hull ID # for new sub

I'm finally ready to begin building a VII E, and with a total of 6 boats in my fleet, I would ideally prefer to assign it a high ID number of "U Boat 35" or higher.

I've been trying again and again to select a VII E to begin my build, but so far the highest number I've seen for the VII E is 34.

Does anybody happen to already have a VII E with a hull ID number of 35 or higher, or am I just chasing my tail looking for something that doesn't exist here?

I've already checked my friends' fleets, and I have not noticed any numbers higher than the 34, so maybe I'm on a wild goose chase.

I suppose I'll survive if I have to choose a lower number, although that would disrupt my nice & orderly universe.

Update: After many, many "selects & resets" in the initial stage of the building process, I did finally manage to be assigned VII E "U Boat 35".

Life is good again, until I decide I want to add a second VII E with hull number of "36" or higher! lol

First world problems, for sure!

There is no number higher than 35.

I got all my subs numbered 30-35

My thoughts on U-Boat numbers is one of game protocol from closed testing trials being attached to advancement in unlocking of nodes for another U- Boat type. The probable reason of closing advancements was to safeguard the integrity of a working model and safer gaming environment due to the halted development. The publishers are still actively maintaining the game.

My own search on present strategy map gives ghost nodes these being Caribbean and Eastern United States for longer patrol operations and possibly South America and Africa. And hence, we never pass 35 in personal leveling or U-Boat numbers no matter how much experience gained as they may be conditions in opening up other theatres of operations.

Interesting, I hadn't considered the relation between levels and U-Boat numbers, but it makes sense.

For any future changes in U-Boat types, I'll just have to begin working downwards from "35" when numbering.

I just built my first E and was assigned uboat 14. I kind of wanted a higher number but I figured this was good enough. now my 2 c/41 and my type 7c have higher numbers than E but that's ok
