Silent Hunter 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 were stand-alone games, some of them you are able to play together with others (multiplayer).
"Silent Hunter Online" is not Silent Hunter 6 or any kind of continuation of the SH (on DVD) series but a self-contained pure browser game. No client version, no installation. You cannot, you have to play it online, and you can play it together with other players ("wolfpacks") or alone (campaign system). It has no traffic with SH 4, for questions concerning SH4 issues you should contact the SH 4 site & support or related forums, for having fun alone or with team mates enjoy this our Silent Hunter Online game.

Danke sehr...I have been unable to play SHO. I can choose both an avatars and a submarine, but nothing happens when I press play now. I have new computer as well!

for Silent Hunter online you'll need a browser (IE, edge, opera, chrome and so on) and the flashplayer - both of them up-to-date
Thanks....I'm using Chrome but have also tried Firefox. I will try to reconfigure later today. Frustrating!
