It also sounds to me as if you were not very patient in your search for assistance. Not only do we have some great volunteer players who assist us as chat moderators in chat and always try to help when they are around, but we also do have a great community, which is always assisting each other and even created a very helpful fan SHO wiki.

So I can only come to the conclusion that you caught a bad moment in game, where nobody was available to help, asked not the right questions or were rather impatient.

map tools don't work / cannot set waypoints

Did it work before, log off, clear cache + cookies, relog.

It never works: maybe the reason is the browser zoom! You should set it to 100% (at many browsers by Strg + 0).

Some OS beginning with Win7, especially at notebooks, have pre-settings with 125% (you can notice a blurred font). system settings - display - set to 100%, Win7 right-mouse-click at desktop - display settings. If there is a slider you can set the check mark at "disable scaling/resizing for big DPI numbers", you normally can set it separately for each application.

So maybe I can encourage you to try again?
