    Here you can discuss and ask your questions in regards to this news.

    A few personal words from me: It has been a great experience and was truly an honor to be your Community Manager. I will remain with you until we turn off the lights and try to answer all questions you might have in regards to this, if I can.

    Let's hope the experience will cause a new Silent Hunter game very soon!

    For me it was a great time full of fun and adventures, to fiddle around and to be thrilled. The community is beyond compare so I put to sea often and with pleasure, to share my joy with others and transfer it to them. I hope in a successor of that game, surely I'll meet some of you again if time has come.
    At the moment I feel like taking part in a burial at sea but life's going on, also it's not the first game which reaches its max. lifetime.
    Reason enough to invite all of you to the officer's casino, Klingsor is paying for a round.
    My last wish: at October 31th all available players form a monster wolfpack, we sail in a body to Scapa Flow and fill their harbour bassin with submarine's steel!
    Ahoy captains, I count on you!


    Meanwhile U-977 made port in Mar del Plata, seems for this my boat the war is over.

    Like Klingsor, I too hope that another Silent Hunter, will be done, that allows for us to once again sail the seas... It is a sad day, hearing that SHO, will be no more..

    I do want to say thanks, for giving us players a heads up, about the decision to deep six it.. many kudos to the support staff.. who worked to make up for server snafu's that sunk our subs an got them back home for us to use.. they are A++++ in my book.. *tip of the hat to them*

    To the developers, many thanks in bringing Silent Hunter to new grounds, with allowing for players to enjoy the game, alongside other players who, like them, had enjoyed playing the earlier variations of it...

    Well that's a shock to be honest. I liked to play the game solo on the moments I had waiting time at work. I never joined a pack as I simply couldn't be sure I had time to finish a mission. Unfortunately this game, my online favourite, will die on the last day of October. I will miss it. I was working towards building the 7E but I will never bring it to war.
    Thanx to the SHO team yes, for making this game available for free, for us to play.

    I will miss the thrill of running towards a carrier with 4 fish loaded, waiting to hit the big red button, escorts already moving towards me with asdic flashing...good times indeed!

    pfffff, very sad news. played mostly solo, due to work. Playing in a WP and sometimes needing to work suddenly don't mix well.

    in mean over 6100 targets killed, 6x 7E all on full level 5 further in the game there will be an end now.
    I really wished it could go on more years, I really liked the game, especially in evenings instead of watching some stupid soap on tv, just go hunting with the subs
    Live happy, life is too short to be angry
