I will try to do a voiceover during the weekend. However I do have horrible german accent

we will tolerate the accent :P trust us it can alway be worse then german people speaking english. Dutch for example. Its horrible :P

No offence meant, but you could argue the accent would add authenticity!!
I'm really enjoying this game. I've heard the the magnetic detonator is draft plus 1m; in my experience you only have to round up to the nearest meter to hit. My main problem at the moment is trying to recon the mission target without getting detected. Currently my tactic is to pick off the 'outer' ships to reduce the fleets view range and get closer without being detected. This can take quite a while even with TC on.

Any help offered over general spotting tactics without getting spotted woul be greatly appreciated!

Set the course before the mission. Wait or drive in direction of the mission.
When the mission is activated, submerge and mark with the pen on the basis of the accusticlines the center of the convoy in the map. Surface, drive towards the convoy. As soon as he comes in view hold course to the center of the convoy. Submerge and recon.

Yeah that's generally my tactic, but I've been spotted a few times within the convoy's viewing range, even with an attack periscope to minimise visibilty. I'm picking off ships to get closer to the ones in the middle undetected. I'm a newbie so I'm just using these missions as practice for when they actually start dropping depth charges
