SHO under Linux

is working? Im trying in firefox23,sabayon linux. From opera Im not able even login, in Chromium Version 29.0.1547.57 the button is not working again.

The only way to play SHO under Linux is to use Chrome or Chromium with the pepper flash plugin from Chrome. Firefox doesn't work.

Could anybody tell us on english what should we do to make the game to work? I can't understand on german forum what should I do or install
I use Chromium, with flash installed (it works for any other site) but when I click on the Play Now button nothing happen.

I'm having the same problem Play Button is linked to http://www.silenthunteronline.com/en-US/homepage# and if you enter that url into your browser it brings you to the page you click the Start Button on.

The only way to play SHO under Linux is to install chrome or chromium with the pepperflash plugin from chrome. The flash plugin from Adobe will not work.

How to install chromium with pepperflash

• install Chromium via packagemanager like apt, rpm etc.
• download the chrome rpm package from Google website, 32 or 64 bit package
• transform with rpm2tar the rpm package into tar archive and tar it.
• in the unpacked folders you found the pepperflash folder under opt/google/chrome
• the pepperflash folder copy to $HOME/.config/chromium/
• to tell chromium where flash is installed, edit with vi, emacs or any other editor /etc/chromium/default
• CHROMIUM_FLAGS="—ppapi-flash-path=/home/YOUR USERNAME/.config/chromium/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so
• save the file
• start chromium

Hello guys. I i'm using Debian GNU Linux Testing with Nvidia GPU and had same problem: SHO in Firefox isn't working and SHO in Chrome runs very-very slowly(because of software acceleration).
So I've found solution that can helps Linux/chrome users:
1) run Chrome
2) go to about:flags
3) you will see "Override software rendering list"disabled there. So enable it
4) go to SHO. It must run GPU accelerated now

working fine, Just correct the link, maybe its better to copy pepperplugin to /usr/lib64/chromium-browser/plugins/ to make it available to all users.

then link in /etc/chromium/default
looks like:

CHROMIUM_FLAGS="--ppapi-flash-path=/usr/lib64/chromium-browser/plugins/libpepflashplayer.so --ppapi-flash-version=11.8.800.170"

and dont forget to close quotations marks

I had logged in and tried to test the game in my linux system. I think this is too much of a hassle for a flash game...

I have played a lot of different flash games under linux, and I have never had to go through this process. They might work better with firefox or chrome, but not just stay there all dead.

And please dont come to me with "it's an OS issue"... I was a bit reticent to testing the game, after being a hardcore user of every silent hunter release, and now you have helped me forget about this release. If I cant even test the flash web game without manually setting up for it to run... meh. Even Silent Hunter III and IV run perfectly under linux... NOT being native apps.
