    you can attain a auxiliary type II boat, free of charge.

    the drawback being they aren't upgradable in terms of crew or technologies, not to mention like all type II boats, aren't compatible with a deck gun.

    you can even load it with free torpedoes.

    there's no question these aux. boats are inferior in terms of performance to the other models, but a good captain should still be able to utilize them without difficulty, certainly early on in the game when the missions are very easy - easy.

    also worth mentioning; if you signed up for the beta, you should've received a code towards a level 3 sonar operator, 150 credits (gold) & 3 top tier torpedoes.

    I like the fact there is consequences if you sink your boat.

    Also it's OK to ask money for the game (even F2P) as long that is done in away that it does not destroy the gameplay experience (immersion of submarine battle).

    Boat lost why? Rammed? Fail of capt'n. Gratification would be court martial, not a new boat.

    In your reality captains have to face server disconnections when about to dodge a DD per example? Wait for the time your full type XXI, with expert crew is sunk because the connexion to server go down for wathever reason and you cant do nothing to prevent it.

    Or when the client decided to crash on you.

    Or when your cat jump and turn off your PC.

    Theres a lots of thing who can make you lose a sub who as nothing to do with bad play. Punishing people for this is just stupid and you can be sure that the first time i experience this SHO lose a player.

    totally agree.

    if u want to see a good F2P model, look at LoL or WoT. there money only gets u cosmetic items or time saving features.
    here if u loose a top tier sub with upgrades and experienced crew..u basically have to start from scratch. yes..u can use a typeIIA to get prestige to build a new top tier sub..but the upgrades and most essentially the crew is gone!

    Just now i have losed my sub because the game crashed and i cant do anything in a combat, i dont even know why the sub was lost.

    I have closed the game and dont intent to open it again until the policy about dead subs change.

    I lost my Type VII on my first mission, 25 minutes in to the game. I seriously think this needs to be changed. I agree to a certain degree that there should be some repercussions with sinking a ship, but during the learning curve, absolutely not. Perhaps you have to wait 24 hours, while the U-boat is towed back to port.

    I completed 2 missions yesterday, with the Type II sub. It only holds 5 torpedoes, and it glitched or something and ran out of fuel. This should have been impossible, since I had to head back to the bunker during the middle of each mission because of torpedo duds, and it taking 4 torpedos to take down one ship, mission requirement was 2. My point is, if there is only a set number of times or other restrictions on returning to the bunker, then making headway in this game is extremely difficult. Getting a sunk starter ship back should not take more than 2 days of the average players playtime. Otherwise, the starter VII u-boat needs to be returnable to the player that hasn't completed the first mission set.

    This game is short-lived otherwise.

    this is a free to play with a buy to win type of game, which in the long run it won't be for many players. Its set up to fail you unless you spend your dollars, or just play with what is offered to you. Eventully you will lose your sub, crew members, or officers, and won't have the gold or prestige to replace it all, so either you spend cash or start all over from scratch. Also upgrade time should run while offline, to sit and wait for repairs or upgrades while on line is not fun, but boring. lose interest after awhile, once a game become to realisti and boring, i will just play grand theft auto v

    the reason it takes two or more torpedoes to sink a ship, and can only carry 5 at a time, its the cost and shuttle back to base to reload . They want you to spend cash to buy the win packs so you can get the best torpedoes, and make less trips back to base and sit in bunker for hours, to wait till the transfer from depot to bunker, to ship

    from what I understand , If you lose out on a game glitch , bug , crash etc that is clearly the games shortcoming.. you would be compensated in some way. If you lose your boat because basically you were not paying attention , got careless or just plain unlucky . its your own fault and thats the risk you take.. i have yet to lose a boat and I have had many close shaves due to my own mistakes.

    If you buy a boat with credits kitted out with all the mod cons.. you know from the moment you hit buy it can be destroyed but you don't worry about that at the time because you wanted it right then , yet you can earn it in a matter of time and effort for no monetary input on your part.

    and yes i believe the game should have harsh reprocussions for losing boats , to incentivise not losing them in the first place , make people more careful and less gungho
